Anything in particular about Thursday? Hearing anything through the grape vine?
It seems like our FMC insider folks had at least a week heads up before anything happened the first time around so, if that fact remains, I’d say Thursday isn’t looking so good ☹

No, not heard anything which is why I posted this. It seems odd if they plan to begin MY 23 scheduling on 8/4, they need to start building pending orders. Makes me wonder of 8/4 scheduling got pushed back? Again, pure speculation....not data at all other than the 8/4 date was widely quoted and looked legit.

The E-mail I got indicated August 16th. I doubt they are ahead of schedule... 😐
Who was the email from? The Ford FAQ page shows “You can place retail orders for 2023 MY F-150 Lightning when the order banks open in July 2022”.
Not trying to imply you’ve got bad info, just hopeful it’s sooner than the middle of August.

I was wondering the same; seemed to me July had been the month Ford was targeting for new order conversions.

After all the waves were filled, I got an email from Ford stating that I had not made it into model year 22 production. The email stated that orders would open up again for model year 23 on August 16th.

That is so strange. Was it from your dealer? On March 3, I received an email with the following wording with no mention of August:

Here’s where we are with F‑150 Lightning orders.
MICHAEL, thank you for reserving the F‑150® Lightning™ truck and joining us on this game‑changing journey.

We promised to keep you updated along the way, so we want you to know: all invitations to order a 2022 model year have been sent. We expect invitations to order future model years to begin this summer.

We realize that’s a long wait, so when we say, “Thank you for your patience,” we mean it. We are working on increasing production and will let you know when the ordering process begins.

Rest assured, your reservation still stands, and you can view the details below. If you decide to cancel your reservation, we understand. But we hope you’ll stick with us on this epic ride.

I too received that email on March 3rd but then around April 12th I was invited to place a MY22 order, which I did immediately. My production date is currently scheduled for 8/15.

I think Ford is very behind given the current number of trucks sold in June....I am going to speculate October or November for 23 orders...!
Any data to support that? (Not challenging, I just don't know.) Seems that I'm seeing those June orders getting slotted into Aug/Sep and your assumption would almost certainly push them into MY 23.

I have similar questions about if they are actually behind. The released sales numbers for May-June are 2,296 Lightning sold. To meet their initial estimate of 15,000 in the first year they’d need to deliver 2,117 Lightnings per month for the rest of the year. Given they’re still ramping up, I imagine they’ll more than cover their earlier stated goal.
