We have heard from recent buyers that the later truck builds have PaaK (Phone as a Key) installed from the factory. For those of you that have PaaK and have linked your phones, is anyone using PaaK exclusively, not carrying the fob at all? How is it working for you?

I don't carry the key fob for my Mustang Mach E. In fact, it was one of the early deliveries that only came with one fob. I love PaaK, although it has some limitations.

What are people finding in using PaaK on their Lightning?

Have had my Lariat for 11 days. Use PaaK exclusively.
How's that working out? Does the truck respond quickly when you approach and press the buttons to unlock the door or open frunk/tailgate?

Physical lock/unlock on doors and open for frunk/tailgate respond well to PaaK. And I've had no connectivity issues. I have no anecdotal evidence of increased phone battery drain. Starting the vehicle is as responsive as fob. I am slightly annoyed with how long you have to press lock/unlock/start on the app. I understand the need for a delay and less sensitivity but it's too long for me. Actual PaaK is much faster responsiveness. Big thing missing for me is auto lock/unlock as you leave/approach the vehicle. I've been using PaaK but actually prefer the fob right now because I don't like having to touch the handle and wait a second - I want the vehicle prepared by the time I get to it.

How do I get that to work? I don't see the feature on my phone app, and can't activate it in my car until the app has it. Anyone else have issues?
Very recent builds were delivered with PaaK. You set it up in your profiles.

Earlier builds do not have the PaaK software. It will come in a PowerUp.

I used my key to get home from the dealer, then I haven't used it since. Drove my two boys and I up to LA for the Charger game on Sunday then back to San Diego. The only I made sure of was to have enough battery on my iPhone left to start the truck. I put it in low power mode once it hit 30% and it stayed there for a couple of hours.

I don't think I'll ever bring a key, especially because if I lose my iPhone (or it breaks, etc) I can unlock the Lighting with my door code then start it with my password.

I never carry a key for my Mustang Mach E except if I’m taking a Multi-day trip.

First, set up your passcode:

Then, use your passcode when prompted:

July built; still waiting for PaaK. Looking forward to a passcode. I wish it could be enabled to use in conjunction with the fob while I wait. Our area has some fob spoofing going on.

My truck arrived with PaaK enabled and I was able to start using it right away. However, PaaK has stopped working - and it seemed to stop working right around the time of the most recent OTA software update. Yesterday taking the trash bins down to the bottom of the road became quite an adventure when I didn't take my fob. I would start the truck using the start "button" inside Fordpass and then get "press start to start driving" and then get "no key detected" and be stuck. I finally got it to start using my emergency passcode. I've just downloaded this morning's update to Fordpass and tested it and PaaK is still not working. Anyone else having this trouble?

I deleted my bluetooth connection, messed with some settings and lost my connection yesterday. Nothing worked, until I went into the settings on the Lightning, reset the phone as a key (deleted them all), then added it through the app again. Works like a charm again. Can you try that?
