I reserved 6/1 and transferred my reservation to another dealership in CT this week. The dealership is not very transparent with their allocation or where my reservation stands. I believe we will get emails from FMC HQ for ordering. When is that to be expected, is there any way to determine which wave you will fall and when you are anticipated to fall for delivery?

I wouldn’t get your hopes up, I’m guessing unless you were in the first couple days of reservations you’ll be looking at a 2023 at the earliest. I reserved on the 05/26 and doubt I’ll be seeing one anytime in the next couple years

I spoke to Ford who said that emails went out yesterday. I called another local dealership who said even if you order now, don't expect anything this year delivery dates will slip. Maybe I order and just wait, I have 2 other vehicles to drive.

Can anyone confirm what the "algorithm" is to determine how order emails are sent? or is it random? Does the dealer you choose have an impact? (i.e. if I live in a metro should I go out to a dealer outside city centers?)

it'd be cool if they would be transparent so we can try and increase our chances of getting to order sooner somehow....

Do you mean like the information in the dealer play book?

I reserved on May 25 and I just ordered it today. Guess I was in the First wave. :)
I reserved mine on 5/19 and I haven't received and email. And of course mine could be because of my location and dealer.

I’m just guessing the answer to the OP is now. If you haven’t received an email and your reservation on Ford.com doesn’t have a link to order, you’re probably waiting for a future wave like most of us.

I messaged my contact at my dealership this morning and I got this response which helps (me at least):

  • Each dealership has been allotted a certain number of customers with the 2022 Ford F150 Lightning reservation to be able to convert it to an order.
  • Ford has allotted the number of these customers by Zone.
  • We are in Zone D. With that being said, we were allotted 1 customer in this wave.
  • We are hopeful that the next wave that is released by Ford will be larger.
  • Per our communications with Ford, there will be invites sent from Ford to Lightning holders in approximate 2-week increments. (They have also added a disclaimer that the number of customer invitations per wave are subject to change.)

Waiting to see if my dealership will let me know I didn’t actually order yesterday when he got my build because I need to get the almighty email from Ford. Trolling forums for information about the order is reminiscent of my experience with Tesla. It sucks.

My dealer says they are not moving anyone around and are going by timestamp. But they also won't tell me what # I am.
I’m still a little leery of what my dealer is saying. I didn’t think I was going to get one until 23 or 24. Then they called and said we are prioritizing people who live in town and you would be number eight on that list. Maybe they can order for people on the priority list? That doesn’t seem right according to what’s being said all over the Internet. I hope I’m not getting excited for nothing. An electric truck has been my holy grail since I started driving EVS over 10 years ago.

My dealer here in Orlando had 12 in the first wave. I was expecting like 2. Apparently, they are a big deal. I’m number 24 on their list (ordered 5/20 in the am) but they are telling me I should be in the second wave.
