Out of curiosity, what is the commission for the salesperson?

Note: It almost seems like it's less than 1%, but on an $80,000 sale, that is still $800, right? I know it can vary per dealership and location, but it seems like a lot of salespeople don't reach out during the process or contact the buyer until the truck is at the dealership. It's almost like they don't care. Wouldn't it be in their best interest to develop a good relationship to get future business as well as upsell dealer add ons?

Why reach out or treat you like a customer when they have guaranteed money for doing nothing. The dealers are in a sad state. Many have let customer service completely go. The poor sales guys out on the floor you are dealing with have no clue what happens behind the curtain.

What you say makes good sense, there is no incentive for them to do so.
