I read on the ford site that it comes with a J1772 charger. (For my question assume that you can charge at max rate for the entire 0-100 of the battery)

The max speed/load/whatever for J1772 is 19.2kW.
On the standard range pack (98kWh) it would take 5.10 hours to charge the truck from 0 to 100%.
That is not sustainable on a road trip.
CCS max charge speed is up to 350kW, which in turn is .28 hours (16 minutes).

It's my understanding that CCS is a J1772 + 2 more pins on the bottom (DC).

I guess the main question is does a J1772 that they mention include the 2 more DC pins on the bottom for the CCS charging speed?
Does anyone who have one already have a couple pictures of the charge port that they would be willing to share?

I found it in a youtube video shortly after I posted this so here is the answer for anyone with the same question in the future.

I'm not sure on the specifics on this one, but I think the Lightning has a 400V pack voltage, which would limit CCS charging to around 150KW. Higher CCS charging rates are available if the pack voltage is higher (like 600 or 800V in the Hyundai Ionic).

J1772 is for AC charging which at 240V mostly available at around 7 kW at various public charging stations. As I see it AC charging is not for road trip but it is convenient at park, trailhead, library, hotels, etc., and most of all for home overnight charging. Tesla calls it Destination chargers. For road trips, you need DC fast charging using J1772+CCS combo. If you can find DC charging stations that support 150 to 350 kW, the Lightning should be able to sail through most trips with not much trouble. Lighting supports upto 150 kW DC charging. In real life, one almost never wants to charge from 0 to 100% which takes very long time when DC charging. From 10% to 80% is the charging speed sweet spot which takes Lightning about 40 to 45 minutes. Always plan your trips utilizing the charging sweet spots.

yes, you have both

the 'top' round connector is for home charging with 120v or 240v, or destination chargers, etc at hotels

the 'bottom' portion is only when DC Fast Charging away from home, or if you have the HIS Pro Charger, which still only using the 'top' 240v portion, but has the connection for the bottom DC pins whenever the HIS is called into usage.
