I am interested in what upgrades folks have done with their "LIGHTNING". I have added a few things. I use my lightning as a daily work vehicle so purchased some decent seat cover from Amazon. And used also as a personal vehicle.
List of stuff I gotten:

• ARE camper shell (A.R.E. Model: Z2)
• Tinted windows
• Truck Line-X Premium Bed Spray Protection
• Train horns (Hornblaster's Train Custom Insane Conductor Version, it Has (x16) Horns)
• Ford Front LED Ford Emblem (Putco Brand)
• Amazon Special Seat Covers
• Husky weatherbeater floor mats set and bed liner mat
• Center Console organizer
• Decals and raised lettering
• Adjusted the center console spring so it would stay up and not fall on my arm any more.
• Rydonair Antenna Compatible with Ford F-150 2009-2023 / 13inches
• Ford OEM Mud Flaps (For the F-150 Lightning)

The next upgrade think of:

• Also going to make a Aux Battery disconnect switch. Though it hasn't been required to do yet, quite a bit of discussion lately on the necessity to disconnect the 12v battery to reboot the system and restore connectivity. I’ll second the glass cover for the screen! I brought mine to the dealer during pickup to put on before I left the dealer, Spigen makes a decent one for under $25 with anti glare. I just installed my Tonneau cover went with a cheaper gator brand soft cover for $229 on sale last week. Holds in nice with no leaks as it rained later today and I checked it out.

I also strongly suggest aftermarket rubber mats as the factory carpet ones do not cover barely any footage outside the 2x2 squares at each seat.

unfortunately I can’t recommend a sunroof, even my dealership said any customer that has brought in a vehicle with an aftermarket sunroof has a leak issue with it. I am happy with the amount of sunlight that comes in through the privacy rear window and the large side windows that it’s an after thought for me now.

I have no experience with the stubby antennas but the glass cover is for the 12” or 15” console display screen as it’s more of a tablet and prone to finger prints, dirt, and possible cracks so a screen protector to help protect the screen is peace of mind. Link- Spigen tempered glass 12” screen protector Also, I got new Rough Country vinyl mats in yesterday and I’m just not happy with the material as the vinyl curls up at the edges even after checking again today. I don’t feel like having to use my heat gun to mend it the way I want. I was searching on Amazon and found Husky rubber liner mats 49% off for $110 for front and rear mats Link - Husky 3 piece front and back liners. Amazon says it doesn’t fit the Lightning but it looks the exact same as my RC so we shall see Tuesday when they come in. Last but not least, get a tailgate lock for additional piece of mind, I’ve been on Tik Tok too long and keep seeing videos of tailgates getting stolen like catalytic converters! :-0 My wife put my lock on last week for me while I was sick 😷 link- Tailgate lock McGard

I have been really happy with my stubby antenna. I have not noticed any reduction in reception and I like the smaller profile. I cannot speak to any issues with the car wash, as I wash my truck by hand. I went with an antenna another person on this forum recommended.

i am notorious for leaving my vehicles unlocked so any help to deter my stupidness I also just purchased the husky x-act contour as well as the husky weatherbeater from yesterday to review them side by side as well as the Rough Country floor mats I already installed. I’m thinking about making a YouTube video on it.

Maybe kind of foolish to buy the Bed liner mat, but was thinking of the protection for the Line-X bed spray coating. Im still trying to find Mud Flap, Bought 2 different kinds off Amazon, They didn't work with the lightning. Ford has them, but at $299 for just the rear flaps. Kind of really need the flaps to protect the horns. Those stupid things are around 3k for that setup I have. And today it just dropped 1" of snow here in Las Vagas...

Thank you, I'm going to look at the mud flaps today. I have over 30k in point (what ever that is worth) and have no idea how to use them. But will find out today.

The F-150 raised lettering was from Etsy with michael from LUDesignsNY ( LUDesignsNY - Etsy ) Back tail gate and side fenders

I made a couple videos for anyone looking for aftermarket mats. I was surprised the Husky Weatherbeaters had the SAME EXACT part numbers as the X-act Contour for the two front mats which were the rubbery Duragrip material which was a great fit around the edges of the mats so they fit more snug and didn’t lift up around the edges like the Rough Country. The Contours have Duragrip also on the rear large mat but the Weatherbeaters have a vinyl rear mat so if you don’t care about the rear mat I’d recommend the Weatherbeaters for $70 cheaper. Contours and Rough Country are around $160-$180 right now and Weatherbeaters are still on sale for $110. I’m sticking with the Contours since I expected to pay that price after initially purchasing the RC and I also have 3 kids that I want comfortable in the back if they take off their shoes but wouldve been happy with the Weatherbeaters to save a buck too. Got in my Husky Weatherbeater floor mats set and Husky bed liner mat. A perfect fit, totally awesome !!!. It felt so nice to get something and put it in as a "Set it and forget it". The Floor mats are awesome, Easy to install and remove. They even have button snaps to use to attach to the OEM mat retaining posts. I am very happy with this purchase. Thank guys for the advise. Ordered my mud flaps from Ford. Should be in on Tuesday. Did some other mods on my Train horn systems, Had to build a barrier to block debris from going into the horns themselves. I'll post a picture soon.
