Dropped my daughter off at school this morning. Round trip from my house to the school... it's 10.3 miles.

The trip meter said it was WAY more than that, 25 miles. It also mistakenly said I'd been driving for 52 minutes. Even if you factor in that I started it about 30 minutes prior to leaving.... it was more like 35 minutes and not 52....

Software bug I'm assuming?

There are other threads discussing this also. This trip seems buggy. Probably about 30% of the time it doesn't work correctly for me.

Every now and then it won't end a prior trip and will pick it up again as a continuation of a new trip.

I have the same issue as well. It’s quite annoying. But not as annoying as the Ford Pass inconsistencies and sudden loss of functionality. It’s been a frustrating first 3 weeks of ownership.

I've been having the same issues lately with the truck and the app.

I'm having the same issue with "This Trip". I think they need a system update. Also "Active Air Dam Fault" has come on several times. My dealer manually checked the air dam and said it was working fine and that it was probably a software issue. After leaving the dealer it came on again.
