The messages were unclear. 4/12 may be the date on which notifications go to dealers. Ford may be notifying customers on Thursday as usual.
Received a text and an email from Ford to place my order. Lariat now on order. Confirmation received from Ford. Dealer called me to let me know they accepted the order on their end. An unexpected but welcome surprise today.

I had asked my dealership if they were going to add anything above MSRP back in the summer and they said no! The said no on the phone and I followed it up with a written text convo. Now I dont know what I will do.
As @VTbuckeye notes - hold that email but do not order from that dealer. The allocation is yours. Find a dealer that will sell at MSRP and move your reservation before ordering. Ford at the 800 number in your email can update your dealer immediately. Then place your order.I got my surprise invite today! Thanks guys, ill see what I can do. What's dumb is that I have bought at least 5 cars and trucks from these guys over the years, and I was planning on continuing. Not now I guess.
Agree with all the advice. If It was me, and you liked these guys before, I'd call them and let them know what you are planning unless they match MSRP. I'm sure they have the capability to be reasonable if they want. At least, they then get a chance. If not, move on.
I am not sure I follow what you/they are trying to do here. Did you just give your reservation to your dealer?
Yes. I would be surprised if the XLT would actually reach the Lariat price, but there is certainly a chance, even probability, that prices will go up a bit.Question. Do you think there's a chance of Ford increasing the price for the 2023 year. I got the email to order and really want the XLT but I am afraid next year I will pay for the XLT the Lariat price
Probably close if the tax credit is phasing out...It may depend on when the purchase occurs
I am trying to figure out where I stand. Went in there knowing they don’t know much but figured I’d waste an hour. They said I had to select the option of ordering through the dealer in order for them to do it. I hit “order through dealer” and they came back saying I already had one configured (which I don’t get, it’s not like there’s a shopping cart) and it went through. Told me it was a 311 package XLT, which I can’t fathom since when I logged on earlier it needed to be extended as did the pro. When I log on I have no options to see anything but this:
