Wave 3, who has their build date/VIN yet?

The answer to this question is complex........
Wave-3 is anyone who got to order starting 2/3
I'm tracking results of a good size population of Lightning enthusiast, total population is 425
103 are identified as wave-3 orders placed from 2/3 to 3/30
62 have a build week ranging from 4/25 to 8/29 and of these folks
20 of 27 eligible have mentioned their blend day so far.
This means 41 people [40%] are STILL waiting for a build week from that wave-3
Overall, 145 folks of 425 are still waiting, [34%] !!!
I think we will see more scheduling in June & July!!

I have a VIN and build date of Aug 22. I am in Canada
Did Ford send you the VIN or did you do the work around mentioned on other threads to get your VIN?

Ordered Feb 12, got a build date (June 20) from the Ford website and back-door’d the VIN with that info. That was over a month ago. I just got the email from Ford last week giving me my VIN and build date. Seems their official email has been late for a lot of folks. 🙄
im in canada and my sales guy gave me the vin and the 4 digit order number to use the tracking site, he also gave me a build date

Reserve date 5/19, order date 2/3, scheduled build week 8/29. Lariat ER, max tow, anti-matter blue. I haven’t seen anyone with a later build date than mine probably because they will be retooling to start building the 2023. I really don’t understand why so many other people that ordered after me are getting their build date before me. Is it my dealer or does Ford not like me😉?
My very first vehicle was a 1975 Ford Maverick when it was a car, not a truck. I’ll be trading in a Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and keeping my 2018 Tesla Model 3 unless Elon continues his nonsense, then I’ll buy another EV. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to an ICE.
I really wanted my truck for the late summer to haul our camper……

Reservation date 5/19 at 10:47pm. Lariat ER. Order date 3/11/2022. Going through dealer. Just got on the Ford vehicle order tracking website and it’s listing a VIN #. Still no window sticker or production info.

Still nothing from Ford. Dealer says I'm most likely not getting a 2022. They were told to submit 25 orders from their 50-odd reservations and that they would get 6, possibly 7 trucks. Six of those orders were subsequently plucked and given build dates in late June/early July so my only chance for MY2022 is a fill-in build late in the production run.

Your dealer is right. At this point, a few leftover opportunities to order Lariats are going out to dealers. Otherwise, 2022 ordering is over. 2023 orders will open this summer.
So, what next? Will I be expected to accept 2023 pricing and terms? The document I signed and shows my $1000 deposit is titled "Preview Order", and it doesn't specify model year. I suspect Ford will claim this is not a contract and use that as justification for rolling the order to 2023 terms and price. One can only hope that some substantive improvements are made to the 2023s in light of owner experiences with the 2022s.
