Update from my dealer on my Lariat order, blend date 8/28: … it looks like your Lightning is built, but now on a chip hold at the plant. Once it receives the chip, it will ship. There is not an updated ETA at this time.

Anyone else hearing the same?

I haven't got that notification, but did see on another forum that the max towing package has a chip in short supply.
I did order the tow option so I might well be in the same boat

Thanks I had reached out to the dealer. Had not ordered the max tow package so I guess there is more than one chip in short supply unfortunately.

This happens from time to time. The good news is you will get a complete truck rather than having a feature deleted.

Mine was built Sept 2 and is on a chip hold. Fords internal system the dealer looks at has a ETA in mid-October a 2 week shift later than the initial ETA. So I do have an ETA and will see if that stays solid. Given the average shipping time of 3-4 weeks, I will know within a few weeks. But then will need to not have a railroad strike!

Yes, I am hearing the same on my Platinum.

I received a text from my Dealer this afternoon! The truck arrived even though it was showing “in production” yesterday. The dealer was as surprised as we were! We will meet on Sat to go over the paperwork. Good news…

My original 2022 Platinum order now had a blend date of Nov 9, and is currently on hold waiting for a chip/chips. In addition, there are several new deletions. I learned that the MultiContor Seat and Onboard Scale were deleted when the order was placed by my dealer now more than a month ago. I don't understand how my 2022 Lightning order that converted from a reservation on Jan 2022 will now be a 2023. What sucks are the increased cost and the dropped multicontor seats and onboard scale. I received a 2021 Bronco in December 2021, and I think my dealer thought that would satisfy me for a while so someone else got my 2022 Lightning. Currently my original order has 4 deletions at a credit of only $965 Canadian. Which doesn't seem to be a fair value for what was removed. I wonder if the steering wheel heat is just a chip, and the steering wheel still has the heaters installed. ALSO I do not see Blue Cruise on the window sticker for this Platinum build. Isn't BlueCruise standard on the Lightning?

Ford has deleted the following:
AVANCED SECURITY PACK
MULTICONTOUR SEAT
ONBOARD SCALE/SMART HITCH
STEERING WHEEL - HEAT

Not all Lightnings but Blue Cruise Hand Free is standard on the Lariat.

and on the Platinum. Dealer says is wasn't deleted, it just isn't on the window sticker. I guess standard items on the model are not listed.
