We have a 2023 Lightning and are experiencing the same issue from day 1 of driving the truck. We drive highway 3 here in BC on a regular base. The vibration/shutter happens between 70 - 83 kph all the time on the highway as this is a very mountainous terrain. The issue can be very violent with the steering wheel and whole truck vibrating quite severely. The original dealer balanced the tires with no change. They didn't road test the vehicle after the balancing of the tires. Was not impressed with them. Took the vehicle to another dealership. They road tested the vehicle overnight and said they could feel the road imperfections. It has take 4 trips to the dealership to get a technician to road test the vehicle with me and then getting told this is a normal condition for this vehicle as there is no current repair for this issue/ concern. As a retired technician/shop foreman/manager at the dealership level this is not a acceptable answer.
After all time and effort that was done by myself installing tires from a known good Lightning as well as rotating the tires. I feel the two drive motors are out of sync (as if you have an All Wheel Drive with different diameter sized tires) which may be a software issue. Ford engineers need to get involved with this issue as it may lead to a safety issue down the road.

Best of luck and hopefully warranty service fixes it soon!

Ours is going in again Saturday for another attempt to fix the issue. This time they are changing the tires from another lightning to ours to see if the issue continues. We've already had all 4 tires replaced that did nothing. The dealer had a Ford engineer around 2 weeks ago so he went for a test drive with us in our truck and put vibration sensors under the seats. They did pick up the vibrations. They said this issue is known, and they are working on fixes but our truck is one for the first they are trying different things on. Ill report back after the next big fix which I beleive is an axle replacement.

This sounds promising. Ford is aware and is working on it. I might delay again with my dealer, they have the front axles shafts in hand but I’m hesitant to have them do that swap. Thanks. Please keep us posted.

I had a vibration and i found the problem. The vibration would appear around 50-60 mph. Thought it was tires, or wheel bearing etc. Turns out the active air dam was stuck (verified on obd scanner) Anyways the air dam was damaged, replaced it, code went away and so did the “vibration”. I put that in quotes, because i was convinced it was a vibration, or maybe it was slight vibration from the air dam motors being jammed, but I dont know it you would feel that. the sound, however was just like a wheel bearing.

File lemon law suit. Ford has a Typical answer for this problem. "Drives as intended" or "we do not feel anything while bouncing up and down on the seat while driving." if you had multiple visits go to your states DMV and file Lemmon law then file BBB. that will get their attention and you will most likely have your car repurchased from you. they entered the electric market thinking their dealers will know electric cars.. they do not !
