In a webinar held today, Ford representatives said F-150 Lightning order banks for regular customers and fleets will open around January 2022 with first deliveries still confirmed for Spring 2022 (March-June). But rumors say production starts in June with first deliveries in September.

While disappointing, it wouldn't be surprising. Hopefully pushing things out a few months will keep Ford from encountering the same quality control challenges they had when launching the new Bronco and the 2020 Explorer. I'm willing to wait a few extra months longer than I otherwise would if it meant greater assurance that I'm getting a quality product.
