Anyone else having trouble accessing settings after the big update two weeks ago?

Both the manual in truck and online have nt been updated. When I look up items like, say, charging settings or Tow settings, I am directed to
• go to the Features on the touchscreen
• go to the Vehicle Drawer on the touchscreen
• • go to the App Drawer on the touchscreen

None of these functions are visible -- the icons aren't there either.

I called Ford support and learned that it is having a hard time getting the Owners Manual updated to reflect the changes in the last update.

When you say "big update", which PowerUp are you referring to?

The manual has not yet been updated. I'm at 4.2.1.

Are you having trouble accessing settings or just finding out about them in the manual?

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Lightning concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Thank you very much for getting back to me. Sorry about the delay in responding. The update to which I am referring is 4.1.3. I was not aware that there were subsequent ones. They haven't been pushed out to me.

Thanks
Mt VIN is 1FT6W1EV2NWG01174

Since posting this comment I've spent an hour and a quarter on the ‭(800) 392-3673‬ # to no avail. I went to the dealership yesterday. The competent Certified Lightening tech, Alex Westin, was as baffled as I was. We both conclude that that the manual does not conform to the software.

I've since learned (here) that updates to my current system (4.1.3) have been released. I appreciate your willingness to look into this.

4.2.1 is the latest. Here's the list and tracking poll.

Seems I'm in the same boat as you Jarratt. Truck came in on the 18th and took delivery a week ago. No Truck Icon on the top left of my screen and no "features" setting. Spent 30 mins the other day looking for the over-ride for the auto deploying running boards. Never found it. Owner's manual doesn't match the options on my screen. Gave up at that point.

We are not alone, Thor. The Lightening certified tech at my dealership was as flummoxed as we are. I asked him to start for Settings in the owners manual. An array of topics come up, but when one is selected, the instructions are to select Settings or Features . . . neither of which are available.

Other inquiries tell me to go to the App Drawer or the Vehicle Drawer. They too do not exist on my screen. When I search for "drawer" the first result shows two icons (a truck; a block with 6 dots). Those icons are not available.

Most of the time I've owned the truck, there was a very rich Settings screen with multiple threaded features. The last update provided a Media screen (totally useless for me) and disposed of the Settings screen.

The joys of being an early adopter.

Well lets see how fast Ford makes it right. Shouldn't have to wait weeks to access settings and features on a new vehicle. Not to mention in this price range...
