This was the more unique reviews - Was very interesting to see peoples perception of the vehicle. Would be great to take some people out to use the Lighting to see how "useful" it could be on a ranch lol. "Where you gonna charge it?" How about on the ranch...

We intend on using it on our flower farm and transport small livestock. Setting up for a remote farmers market with quiet power would be a dream. Just need to get the tractor diesel to electric but everything to the UTV and tools are ev at this point

All of our pulling is fairly light though. I could probably get away towing a few sheep with my sedan and a hitch or delivering flower with the car too.

I had the same thought when I saw it. With that said, if you have a giant ranch with a ton of pulling, it still may not be a good option. In other words, possible he knew what he was talking about, but not likely.

I think the reaction is more to the aggressive "There is no way this is close to being useful". If he's on a giant ranch he'll probably have multiple trucks, which this truck would be able to fill a variety of those needs. If he needs a ton of pulling or heavy long range towing he'll still need his heavy duty diesel.

Farley himself admitted that replacing the heavy duty segment isn't so simple. After that ted talk recently, there isn't a benefit to the environment for the size of the battery needed to do heavy duty. I'm sure the motors are there (waiting on what Magna is doing).

For me, I have had kinds of ideas of things I want to do once it is here. Road trips and biking trips, using the power for set ups at events. I'm just itchin'. I already ordered 2 e-bikes. I've just always wanted a truck for the stuff I wanted to do but didn't want to pay for the gas bill.

My favorite was that the "Biden Agenda" is preventing people from adopting this truck as mainstream. Very interesting.

Which UTV do you have?

We got a 2010 Polaris Ranger EV. Old tech with like a 20-30 mile range on a bunch of lead acid batteries so just a 4X4 golf cart. Can tow and haul an impressive amount and hasn't gotten stuck in the mud here yet. I like it for how quiet it is and way less maintenance.

The new Polaris Ranger Kinetic is quite the toy though! But mine was used for a reasonable price so I can't complain to haul fence materials, take ducks for a ride around the property or just going to grab the mail, or haul flowers and veggies around from the field.
