Looking around on the Ford site doesn't give much information at all, at this point the best comparison would be the E-Mach which runs LED's. My guess is it will be the same for all, even with laser tech in the market.
What do you all think?

All trims will have LED projector headlights with bending (cornering) function. This is a comprehensive list of included features for all trims.
It will be interesting to see what functionality they truly give these headlights. The NHTSA only approved the advanced functions a few months ago. Hoping they don't operate as standard old school lights - dim and bright, but truly use the advanced functions. I'm thinking of the Glare Free function I believe is what it is called.

It's too bad they're not including laser headlights on a premium truck. Lower consumption and higher tech would really make a big splash for consumers.

Glare free (matrix) headlights were discontinued for Job #2 F150s, including the Lightning. Canadian regulations allow for matrix headlights but they do not appear on Lightning spec sheets there either.

So what you're saying is a swap would be possible if someone ever wanted one?

Thanks for the clarification, I had asked that elsewhere and the info I got pointed to these LED's had similar capability. Maybe a shortcoming of chips, maybe Ford decided Matrix wasn't worth it. I guess only time will tell.

Probably not, unless they reintroduce matrix hardware for subsequent Lightning model years. The headlight design on the Lightning is completely different than the Gen14 ICE F150s.

There's a small chance that the hardware will be there but not enabled on MY22 Lightnings. We'll know for sure when people get their trucks and start messing aroun with ForScan configurations
