So, I was initially interested in this, and considered hub motors to be a better design (fewer parts, meaning cheaper and less chances of parts failing)... until I learned about unsprung weight (only really an issue if pushing the truck for speed on non-ideal terrain/roads) and the max 80mph limit (I can't find this now, seems to have been scrubbed off the website). I guess if individual use case doesn't require the previously stated issues, then sure, seems alright. Also remembering that it only did ~40 miles in the San Felipe 250 in Baja (disclaimer: this is a punishing race, and I don't have enough data to make a meaningful comparison here, my initial thought was only 40 miles on a 250 mile rated truck is bad, but again I'm not able to compare here).
