I have put a variety of boats behind this truck so far, and it pulls each and every one beautifully! Fun fact: the Lightning is so quiet and so smooth you can really hear and feel your trailer. Tires, bearing/hub issues etc are more easily noticeable thus makes for a more confident pull.

The mirrors on the other hard… they suck for towing. Too small, and terrible depth perceptionin relation to back of said trailer.

The range suffer is real. It’s a hard hit to the battery percentage, reasonably and rightfully so considering what you’re doing here!! Seeing the GOM go from almost 200 to 90 immediately creates some anxiety certainly. But remember, the moment you disconnect the trailer, the range almost doubles again.
For local, run around pulls, this truck is a amazing. In my business, this Lightning is a real blessing. And perfect timing!

So in general are you getting 50% range reduction when you tow? What's the longest you've had to tow one of your boats for?

When towing the bigger boats how is the motor and battery temps doing?
I honestly haven’t thought to pay special attention to that part. I’ll remember to do so. I haven’t seen any real difference that I noticed but again also not watching. I pull short distance and often mainly. My most often 3 routes are hilly however and make my 6.0 Powerstroke sound like a Mack truck with the dang fans even tho not struggling.

88 miles is the longest one way tow. Truck recommended a stop for 10 min at a DC fast charge. I did that and came home with 91 miles remaining and picked up 65 at the charge.

My boat is similar size and I have to tow a 106 miles to my lake, no fast chargers between and there are only 120v outlets or my generator. This could be interesting... Might have to rig up 2 120v to a make a 240v.

"Rigging" a 2nd 120v outlet to create the 2nd pole for a 240 charger only works if you have a 2nd circuit to pull from (seldom found in a single location) and you then have an EVSE that pulls 3kw or less. This has been done, but it is far from a straightforward process.

Yes they are separate circuits and I've confirmed with a volt meter to get 240 on the hot sides.

Then all that is lacking is your custom-built Y, and a select-power EVSE. I have had luck with this one:
For those that venture out, the complete absence of control over how much the truck requests from the EVSE is a glaring oversight on Ford's part, but an adjustable mobile cord helps negate that.
