Everyone has brought up the towing short comings. For this and the Rivian. In this video they actually spoke a good bit about not being able to pull up to a charger with a trailer, which is something that has been pointed out since last November. And that has nothing to do with Ford. They said short distance good, but long distance terrible. Yes but not impossible. As it has already been done.
In reality, it isn't Ford or any specific manufacturer that can solve that problem. I remember someone mentioning you get the same shortcomings with Tesla (depending on what you tow). You get shortcomings in a gas powered car. The only thing that can really happen is for those that are pumping money into these EV stations build better lanes like Out of Spec is showing Germany has done (but that particular station, to his estimation, probably cost well into the millions and it only services EVs). 3k-4k EV "parks" @ let's say 2 million a pop? We aren't there yet.
And the Battery tech isn't necessarily the manufacturer either. But some of the things I'm seeing look promising for the next 3-4 years and that has nothing to do with Ford. Mercedes will have a new battery type in their G wagon EV. Which makes since cause that will be stupidly expensive. It'll take time for that new tech to trickle down.
