Impressive. I wonder if some of that magic will make it's way into the CT.

Why wouldn't they compare it to other semis? Are people cross shopping semi's with light duty?

To many unknowns here. If that number is a real world data for an 80,000# truck it is amazing. I’m skeptical. We’re going to have to get used to differentiating between mi/kWh and kWh/mi.
I am skeptical too . . . just like in 2016 Tesla was going to have robotaxis if you bought FSD by 2020. Elon lies and exaggerates a LOT.

This video does a really good job of describing parameters of most of the unknowns like, weight, battery size, speed, elevation changes, but ignores things like wind, rain, snow and cabin comfort load. Tesla apparently has a pretty tight non disclosure with Pepsico because I’ve heard crickets about any real data. If after a year of real world data, Pepsico reports average mileage of .6 mi/kWh or better I’ll be seriously impressed. Until then, not holding my breath. I’ve owned a Tesla since 2016 and love the car, but have learned many of Elon’s pronouncements are aspirational even though he speaks as factual.

That’s exactly the term Tesla lawyers are using now that they are being sued over “Full Self Driving” that isn’t.

The Electric Lightning would probably not exist if it were not for Musk; a dreamer always reaching for stars. It is such men that push the limits, and benefit us all.

It sheds a poor light on the haters; people that would rather tear down others than actually build something themselves, don't you think?

So true! Not at all unusual for people who have accomplished great things to also have a dark side we’d rather ignore. Especially true for Musk and sometimes confounding, e.g. supplying Ukraine with free internet and at the same time advising them to compromise with Putin.
