Tesla Destination Charger

Has anybody tried charging the Lightning at a Tesla destination charger? This doesn't list the Lightning as compatible, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. https://a.co/afQ8y7V

I have one of those that worked well on a car that could only charge at maximum 48A. The problem is that some Tesla Connectors are 80A and your Lightning may request that much power through your 48A adapter. Beware if you're not sure what the power output is.
Are you saying that if I use a tesla home charger that is 48 amps the truck may try to pull 80 amps from the tesla charger, not sure I am getting this 100 percent
No, I was saying that using a Lectron 48A Tesla to J1772 adapter*, as in the original post, with a Tesla Destination Charger that is 80A while Lightning requests 80A creates a man-in-the-middle situation (the adapter) that is only capable of handling 48A. That is ungood. As long as you know you are at a Tesla EVSE that is limited to ≤48A, it should work fine. You need to be aware of the potential problem.
