So maybe you have a teen that needs to occasionally use the truck. You may not want to put 100% of the horsepower into his hot little hands. Is there a way to set driver restrictions? Aside from valet mode?

And does valet mode limit performance?

You'll find a limited amount of information on both of these features, My Key and Valet Mode, in the truck's manual. They do not detail all available limitations, unfortunately. Perhaps someone has experimented with these on the Mach E.

I poked around a Mach e forum and there is discussion on valet. Should say confusion on mach e valet mode. Some were able to get it to work without key Some weren't. However no mention of limited performance.
My bmw has a special plastic key for valet. But it only limits access to glovebox.

From what I could find out, it just locks the driver out from any information in the infotainment. I don't know how much though, I was wonder if you can set the driving to a setting like towing and then valet it and they can't change it to normal or sport.

I don't think the limitations for 'my key' and such limit 'lead foot' or 'fast off' types of driving, but generally the overall maximum speed, etc. The same kind of question can be had if you own a Mustang with a v8, or even the 'typical' EV of any brand - all can instantly attain speed - there is no 'lag', there is no transmission gears to shift - it's ALL Torque, from the get-go.

I forgot about this thread but TCCustoms did a review of the infotainment and he mentioned something that I didn't hear before and it is what I'm looking for: timestamped

I'm curious if you can limit the top speed more.
