If I purchase a new lightning with an MSRP of $73,500 and a 15k markup am I eligible for the $7500 credit? Is there an income limit for 2022? Has Ford sold 200k EV’s?

Sorry if this has been posted, but I couldn’t find a clear answer. I don’t want to make a $7500 mistake. Thank you,

Am I eligible? Yes but keep in mind the more you pay over the MSRP the more the tax credit becomes personally irrelevant.

Is there an income limit for 2022? The credit is unavailable to single tax filers with modified adjusted gross income above $150,000. For married couples filing jointly, that income limit would be $300,000, and for individuals who file as head of household, $225,000. A CPA could make a better determination for you.

Has Ford sold 200k EV's? No

I don't think the income limit kicks in until 2023 tax year.

True. For 2022 the only limitation would be if you have $7500 in tax liability. If you earn roughly at least $65k as a single filer you should be fine.
