Got my ER truck three weeks ago and my pro station charger 4 days ago (Friday 1/13 - see picture of label). Very disappointed to find out that our home panel can’t absorb the amps after we added too much to it 18 months ago with a construction project and old home infrastructure. We had to settle for adding a lower grade and slower ChargePoint station so now I am selling this unused boxed charger.

Are you aware the charger amp requirement can be dialed down to match what you have available in your panel?

I am aware of that and had a healthy discussion with my electrician and his boss. I was told even though you can dial the amps down, the unit still requires an amps and wiring that would be too much for my box and would not pass the code inspection regardless of being able to manually turning the pro station down. This was the 4th electrician I invested time into and was told the same thing by each one. The only alternative I was given was to have a second meter installed which would have cost a fortune and was ultimately not worth it.
