Thursday, March 31st has long been the last day given by Ford in the wave ordering scheme for order invitations to convert. Thursday has usually been the day build dates are assigned. Something may shake out this week or next.

There are a lot of people in the same boat as you. My order has been similarly stuck since Wave 4. Unfortunately, more supply chain problems just keep on popping up.

So even if you have a confirmed order with the dealer, if it doesn't convert to "production" by Thursday, you're in a MY23 then?

That's the boat I'd be in, might not be the worst. My 2016 F150 is still in great shape. Still, I want that lightning....

Everything is a guess. But, that's not what I meant. Wave order invitations from reservations were supposed to be complete by 3/31. Ford probably has reservation holders who have gotten invitations and not converted to an actual dealer-accepted order. My guess is that once 3/31 arrives, that Ford will be able to in-fill production availability with additional reservations (or allow the dealer to convert them). And, existing order conversions should be receiving build dates when/if they are able to source components for the build.

Gotcha. I am a Wave 1 order, but for a Pro, so I have just been sitting back waiting for a production date

No. 3/31 is the cutoff date set by Ford’s for converting reservations to orders. They are still scheduling trucks.

I'm curious how Ford will dispose of available production capacity after 4/1, assuming the fence sitters and extenders don't bite by 3/31?

Maybe make those units available to all EV certified dealers spread evenly across the nation?
Caveat, they can sell them for as much markup as market will bare but honor the MSRP on all e-market retail orders.

Yes, that's a very good question. Ford originally announced balance-out invitations but didn't say that it would necessarily be open to the public.

I would hope Ford would use this as a final wave to early reservation holders. That said, I also wouldn't mind seeing the cars go to dealers who are selling trucks to reservation holders at MSRP.

first reserved, first served should have been how they did it, instead they walked back on their "place in line held" emails and caved to the dealers on reallocating friends, family, deep pockets and politics.
