Had a disturbing issue last night. Heading out, I got in the truck which I had remote started via the app, and was greeted by a number of messages on the dash. Everything from front collision alert system failure, service required, etc…plus a number of warning lights. Start button was just flashing green and truck would not go into a drive mode.
Turn off, open door, retry….same thing. Stuck!
Luckily i was home, so i got out of the truck, locked it and plugged in the charger for about a minute.
Retried and everything worked as normal. Hopefully just a software glitch, but should this happen to you give the above steps a try.

FYI mine is a 23 Lariat ER

I would have your 12v battery tested, I have seen others with similar issues where the 12v battery was going bad
Agreed. I had that exact problem when my 12v battery was low in my Mach E.

This is a valuable reason to keep the truck plugged in at home during cold weather.

What was the temperature?

Ford had to issue a Mustang Mach E PowerUp to improve the charging of the LVB from the HVB when not plugged in.

Later next spring after I get my truck, I am going to have a nice sound system installed and one of the things I want to do is install (at least one) Yellow Top Optima deep cycle battery like i always like to have for my trucks. Do you guys think that replacing the factory 12 volt battery with a deep cycle 12v battery would be ok... or out of the question?

It's not out of the question but replacing with a battery different than the current AGM may confuse the onboard software.

Great that you were at home and not stranded.
