I placed my reservation in May of last year, and I have still not received an invitation to order, I used my local dealership on the reservation, which is a relatively small dealership, but they have not been selling their other cars over MSRP. I called them for the first time last week, and they said that I am 80th on the list and it will be probably another year before they get to me. This feels like they might be lying because they are saying 80 people from my area choose them in the first two days when reservations opened? What should I do? I want to switch dealerships, but how will I know they will get any allocations? And will I have to go to the back of their line, or will I be put higher because of how early I ordered?

I don't think anyone fully knows if this think will ever switch over to a "first in" reservation system, or if dealer will be able to continue to prioritize. However, folks like me, who were on their dealers ranked list, still have not ordered (AM 5/20 reservation) so clearly there are still many, many dealer prioritized reservations to covert.

I'd advice start calling some convenient dealers and see where you might land on their list and if one promises to help you out, and not charge over MSRP, I'd consider moving over.

With all that said, if you are May 21 or later, you may be borderline for MY23.

Your 5/21/21 RESERVATION (not an order) puts you about 45,000 back in line but actual timing will also depend on which dealer you go with.
Rumor says ordering by invitation will start again mid-July but I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t until August.

I can’t even remember what model trim I ordered… did we have to select what trim during res process
Join the club… 5/19 order and dealer says I’m #11.
It sounds like you have a $100 reservation, not an order. The reservation is like being in a line to place in order. An order to build the truck entails an additional deposit and a locked-in ordering process that the dealer you chose has to accept. The next step after the order is getting the truck scheduled for production.

Yep; see Voltz comment. You are like me. I am currently #1 with my dealer for next order wave likely for MY23....narrowly missed getting in on wave 7 clean-up and could have gotten a SR.
