Is there a way if deleting XM radio?

Here’s the problem. When I get in the vehicle and start I end up getting XM radio solicitation by default. I don’t want it, I don’t use it, how do I get rid of it.

Here’s the second problem. When steaming from Amazon music, sometimes between tracks the XM radio is blasted at me.

I want to eliminate the XM radio, I don’t want it present at all.

The XM radio is built into the Sync 4A system. You can only delete it from an order by going to a lower trim level.

Do you mean delete it off an already-built truck? It may be possible if you want to hack your truck's programming with ForScan or FDRS. How are you with editing hexadecimal code?

I will only say that Sync sucks and I've tried playing music from my USB drive, but it will disconnect when I start the truck and my truck tries to default to AM radio, but it hasn't ever defaulted to XM, nor have I had any in truck solicitation from them. I get something in the mail every other day. Mine has expired and I have not renewed it.

I play music through a USB thumb drive with zero issues. I use the plug next to the wireless phone charger. Steering wheel controls work with the USB drive also.

I use Apple Car Play and have all the music that I want. I already have a Pandora subscription on my phone. Sometimes Car Play is a little glitchy with the truck, but I’ve never been unable to get it going. I also get annoying calls and pestering mail from XM all of the time but will probably never subscribe again. Been there, done that with a previous vehicle and they were far too difficult to deal with when I ultimately wanted to cancel. Ever sit through a time share sales presentation? Good grief…

As for XM, so crazy easy to negotiate with them. You just say you will cancel, and hold out until you get them to about $5/month. That is worth it to me.
