Does anyone know for sure if the twin panel moonroof will have a sliding cover like most moonroofs do to keep the sun out when needed? I know the Mach E does not and although tinted, the moonroof always lets the outside light in. I live in the south and this would be a deal killer for me during the summer to not be able to block out the sun. Also, with my current moonroof, the vehicle is noticeably quieter with the cover shut. Hoping that the moonroof on the Lightning will be traditional in this way. I have not been able to find any confirmation online about this.

OK, I was able to answer my own question. Found a Youtube review clearly showing a powered retractable cover that can be opened to expose the moonroof. I would have expected this but was a little worried with the design on the Mach E.

Technically the Mach E doesn’t have a moonroof but a solid glass roof. While I see no real benefit in having it I am glad to say it really wasn’t an issue during near 100 degree summer days. Though going into my first winter in the car I think I get more cold transmission through the silly glass panel than summer heat.
