I'm getting a little unpatient here with a blend date of 5/23 and no built update from Ford.
I see people having mixed success in activating their FordPass app to track their vehicle from the factory.
So far I have resisted doing so because I didn't want to throw a wrench in the process. But...I admit it would be nice to know.
My question is this: has anyone experienced a negative impact on their delivery process due to prematurely activating FordPass?

Given that almost all of us are in the same boat (I also had 5/23 blend), I think it's hard to define if any one thing had a negative impact on delivery.

I can't imagine they would really avoid delivering a vehicle based on this, but who knows.

Mine has been "pending activation" for 2 weeks, so either it's on a truck headed this way and tracking is all wrong (might be possible) or it is sitting in a parking lot with hundreds of other trucks waiting on microchips (much more likely).

I did get my activation denied this morning, after it had been pending since June 15. Maybe that means something is happening?

It probably means someone was working in the truck ar a facility around Dearborn. I've been told workers up there have been instructed to ignore or decline but not to accept connection requests.

BTW, I had an unknown person trying to connect to my Mustang Mach E for about a month last year. All you need to place the request is the VIN.

It seems that activating the FordPass in the truck immediately starts all of your subscriptions (Maps, BlueCruise, free 250 kWh of charging) and your free Sirius subscription.
