FYI, I Was leaving to come home from work on Weds 1/18 this week and a service vehicle soon message came up. Brought it to my dealer and they found that there was a shift control module error code. They told me they have to order a replacement module. The truck is a 3 week old 2022 ER Lariat that has only 498 miles on it. I called on Friday 1/20 to get an update and the dealer has no idea when the module will be available it is back ordered and they have to keep the truck as Ford told them it could be a safety issue as per what the service department told me. I am hoping the Ford Rep who is on here can help get some answers. I also wanted to let folks know about it. I believe the shift control module is what allows the truck to move forward or backwards when you use the shifter. I love the truck it’s incredible but I hope I can get it back soon. I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue?

I had the same issue with my 2022 ER Lariat in December. I had the Service Vehicle soon message the day after purchasing, but the dealer did not have availability for service until January. Continued to drive in the meantime. I ended up driving out of town for Christmas (hindsight this was not the best idea), and ended up stuck in my destination unable to shift the vehicle. Found a local dealer who ended up re-flashing the shift module to get me home.

I took it to my home dealership, and confirmed that the shift module would need to be replaced. The shipping of the new module took +/- 4 days. Repairs took 2 days.

Wow thanks for sharing this! I called the dealer today (3rd time) and they informed me they reached out to Ford multiple times and do not have an ETA on the module. They did tell me that they have 2 more Lightnings that came in with the same issue. I am glad I made the post as general awareness for everyone.
