For the life of me I can't get Pro trailer assist to work?!?!

I have a Lariat, max tow, tow tech package. The instructions say to setup, push the pro trailer assist button on dash. When I do nothing happens. It doesn't even light up? I think it's supposed to light up when button is pushed? Any thoughts?
