Pro charger arriving 2-3 weeks after I take ownership, this is crazy. My Lightning has shipped and I was told yesterday by several Ford resources that my Pro charger does not ship early as they have in the past. I am guessing for some people this would not be a big deal, but for me it is, as the closest DC fast charger is 40 miles away from me.

The Ford Charge Station Pro has almost always shipped from SunRun after the truck has been delivered.

Try not to use Fast Charger every time you need a Charge.
Use PlugShare - EV Charging Station Map - Find a place to charge and Filter J-1772 to find regular plug (Not Fast) There is an App.

Yours didn't come with the Mobile Charger? The Mobile Charger that can be plugged into a 120 or 240v.
The 240v can charge around 14 Miles an Hour so if you charge overnight (8 Hours) you should get about 150 Miles.
If you are having an Electrician Install it or SunRun ask them to run the cable for now but temporarily install a 240v Outlet. Sounds like you're planning on running the cable anyways.

My truck hopefully is being delivered this week, so I hope the mobile charger comes with it. I already have the cable run to the garage. When I looked up the cost of SunRun installing the minimum cost would have been $1600 and that is what they call a simple install. My install is not simple as I had to run 54 feet of cable from my main panel to the sub panel in the garage.

Please remember that people can walk away from the truck purchase any time up until they sign the paperwork. I don't blame Ford/SunRun for not sending out $1300 EVSEs to every "potential" buyer who has placed an order.

I totally understand why you don’t get the charger early, but why not provide it the day you purchase your Lightning? If I had SunRun do the install, they told me they could have it installed before I took delivery of my Lightning.

This is a common complaint. One thing to think about is how inconvenient it is until the unit is installed. Are you going to be similarly inconvenienced if/when the unit fails, or needs service? I am of the school of thought that any EV owner should also have a 1450 outlet in or near their garage/driveway as a backup, or even a way for guests to charge. No EV should ever be without a mobile cord (preferably not Ford's cord), so it is a small inconvenience to use your Mobile cord on this 1450 outlet while you are waiting for your evse to be shipped and installed.

I already have a 6-50 in my garage, so I should be covered no matter what the situation. Emporia......
