On my Maverick as long as you have the Standard 360 Package you were able to buy the radar from the Lariat model and wire it into the maverick. Then enable Automatic Cruise Control and Lane centering with Forscan. Has anyone managed to do a similar mod on their Lightning(I have a Pro coming in 2023 and they killed it being part of the truck as an option without a massive package upgrade)

When I created my Reservation on the day of the announcement I was able to pick the Pro with an extended battery, pro power, towing, and blue cruise. They very much killed numerous options. (edit for clarity, I'm referring to the cost estimator ford put on the site which let you pick these features along with Trim to estimate price, not a binding order)

As far as expensive it cost me a few hundred in parts and a few hours of work to add to my maverick.

When you reserved a Lightning you were not asked about options or even trim level. It was just name, email address, selected dealer, and $100 payment. LONG before reservations could be converted to orders the options and packages were released - and the Pro did not have Bluecruise as an available option.

They Put the build tool up so people could do estimates, I wasn't claiming to have made a binding order, even on my now converted to order for still has the notice that it is subject to change at the whims of ford..

Assist 2.0 was dropped from most models, as was noted in multiple for Press Releases. That among other things stipped adaptive cruise as an option from anything that didn't have the full Active package. They also made the extended battery Fleet order only on the Pro model.

You’re talking about F-150 in general, but the Lightning Pro never had Bluecruise. Neither did the Lightning XLT. They literally can’t be equipped that way, as the hardware for the attention-monitoring cameras ONLY comes with the 15” Sync 4A system which was never an option on Lightning Pro or XLT.

Same is true for the ER battery on Pro. There were a lot of hopes and dreams, but it was never offered outside of fleet orders.

in case anyone's wondering I've found enough over on f150forum.com to be confident I can do it just like on the maverick. looks like another case of just add the missing parts and flip the bits with forscan.
