Not sure if others are aware, but several states offer HOV permits for drivers of a BEV. Maryland is one of these states. Another advantage of driving a BEV.
I hear you, if you have driven into DC using 270 you will love the HOV lanes. I am willing to put on a sticker to save 40 min in traffic!NY does too, but you have to put stickers all over the vehicle.
That program in Maryland expired this past Friday (9/30/22). We don’t have any HOV lanes near Buffalo. But it also gives a slight discount on the EZ pass thruway rates but again not worth it for me. But for you it sounds great.I hear you, if you have driven into DC using 270 you will love the HOV lanes. I am willing to put on a sticker to save 40 min in traffic!
ugh, glad I never bothered to get one of those stickers. I would be extremely pissed. That program in Maryland expired this past Friday (9/30/22). See bold text here: High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Permit Issuance for Plug-in Electric Vehicles - Pages
