I was watching The Long McArthur pod cast and Tim Bartz said that there was a hold up on the multi-contour seats and if you had a Platinum ordered with these that there would be a delay for your scheduled production date. You can get with your Dealer and he can put in the "delete" for this option and you will not lose your build date.

Well, this really pissed me off, because this is one my important options to me. I wanted those seats so I could take a nap while charging away from home. Well......

Yea that isn't surprising. The Explorer ST and other models with multi-contour or active-contour all have that. I think the package that has them on the Explorer has the words "less multi-contour".

Supply chain or chip.

I didn't see Tim's video, but this is reported in other forums and I believe it was only for the ICE trucks. What I read did not include the Lightnings. Could be mistaken, but I only read for the ICE trucks. It is still a big bummer for them, one of the true differentiators for the Platinum being taken away and given just a couple hundred bucks for it.

I do see the remove option on the Platinum build page so I am hoping we don’t receive a notice similar to the ones being sent to ICE buyers. Certainly not worh saving a couple hundred bucks if you ask me. Then again, the desire for the Lightning now vs next year my change that opinion. I also saw on the other forum mention of Active Park Assist also being a casualty.

Isn’t that like the ONLY thing that differentiates platinum from er lariat? The head rest speakers, and the seats,
Basically. Though there’s some nicer trim and inlays in the platinum but yea, head test speakers and seats are the main drivers. Though the seats are more than just then contour feature.

Possibly nicer leather, 22” wheel maybe standard.

Yea. I’m not sure how I feel about the larger wheels. I wish they had an all black wheel option. I know the flatter surface area is for charge economy but to me, they could be nicer looking. It’s by and far the one nag I have had for the past year+, though it’s not a deal changer so they win this round haha.

I hope someday the stylistic option will be smaller wheels sporting the best tires. If my checkbook ever recovers from the Lariat upgrade, I'll be looking for some Pro wheels, which I think are the best looking ones anyway. o_O

My salesman just got back to me regarding the "multi-contour seats"....If you have a Vin # already, then the seats have already been allocated for your build. There will be no hold up to your build date.
Your salesmen lied, Iv had a vin number since 2/14, scheduled for build may 30, I’m finally able to view my sticker and it deleted the seats and parking assist, not happy about this at all, $300 for massage seats? It would probably cost me 1500-2000 to have that done

@Alkahmist812 What kind of truck do you have on order? An ICE or Lightning? Would you mind sharing your window sticker with us? I've not heard of any deletes of any kind for a Lightning.
