here's the photos I snapped from the Atlanta Auto Show today - the Platinum in Iconic Silver, although with all the 'Blue' lights, you might think it was the Iced Blue Silver, which they, unfortunately, had no vehicles in that color.

This was the premier Platform at the show, and although you could not touch, get very close, and certainly not sit inside, turn on, or drive, it was fun to see what's coming in a couple of months!
I will admit, though, the show 'folks' knew less about the truck than I did... I'm kinda amazed. You would think that with the money they spend to 'do' these shows, the folks on the floor would actually be able to tell you correct information. I asked about the 'active air dam' - they knew nothing about it, etc. I think they aren't really on 'top' of the information they need to really be able to talk about it intelligently. Oh well, I saw my baby, and that's what I was there for. I hardly paid attention to any of the other hundreds of vehicles.

Great photos @Leaf to Lightning : ) especially the underneath ones!

Unfortunately knowing more than the people that are at the booths are usually the case these days. My guess is the people that Ford brought to man the booth aren't actual Ford employees are there just to work the event.

Headed to the Dallas auto show this weekend. Interested to see which one they have here. They have the ride along set up too, but I'm not holding out any hope of being able to get in one. Just waiting on the dealer mannequins to take it for a drive myself.

Keep us posted @GDN! Who knows maybe you will be able to go on one of the rides.

Will do - not headed down until later today. Busy weekend - one of my favorite - Indy Car is in town. The race used to be in June here, but they've moved it up. We've got a perfect Spring weekend, but am hopeful to get a ride in a Lightning as well, just not sure how long the line will be.

Made it to the Dallas Auto Show. Overall the show was a disappointment - several prominent brands completely missing. Ford had a good display however with several Bronco's. The standard Platinum Lighting under some really bad blue lighting. They wouldn't let you near it.

The only bright spot was they did have a Lightning XLT for rides. Only took about 10 minutes in line. Quick two laps around a 50 yard square track ride along only. The driver pulled to a stop and launched decently. So a very quick 3 minutes in the truck. No time to see or scope anything out, but I have taken a ride in a Lightning. Just one quick shot of the truck. Just hoping the mannequins hit the lots soon.

My first EV ride was in a Leaf in SF. Two things blew my mind. First, how quiet it was and second that was I was inside and it was perfectly safe for everyone standing in line. Loved EVs ever since.

I remember seeing a specific video alluding to this feature, although I cannot locate it now - I thought I remembered it being from Ford - but, regardless, this Platinum LIGHTNING at the Atlanta Auto Show certainly has it.
