I was finally able to pick up my 2023 XLT SR Lightning from the dealer. It had been sitting for more than a month in the Honolulu Port waiting to be barged to Kauai. I was able to pay for my truck before the end of last year as it was built and shipped. I did get the $7,500 tax credit. I love the truck.

How's the charging infrastructure coming along on the islands?

The charging infrastructure is a work in progress. There are some at shopping centers and stores. None show up on the Ford App for Kauai. There is not much long range driving to be done here so I can charge at home and not worry about range.

Did the dealer aid you with payment last year as 'built & shipped'? My '22 arrived 12/15/22 - did you get an ER or it may not be needed there and can you use solar for almost free electricity?

Yes the dealer did help me with payment on December 27th and I have already gotten my tax credit and refund. I only got the standard range as that is all I need on this island.
