\Hey, I live in Hillsboro, OR. I’m getting an XLT SR with 312A pack. My build date is 6/6
I would love to hear about your ownership experience in AK.Alaska bound Lariat ER has been shipped. I expect it to arrive at the Port of Tacoma in the next 10 days. ETA in AK - mid July.
Give us some highway range numbers in mi/kwh.... when it is cold.Right now I'm in Medford,OR with my Mach E, on the way to Lake Tahoe. I left the Lightning at Fairbanks airport for 2 weeks with temps at zero and not plugged in. Hopefully, there won't be much to tell from that experience.
I'll do some major league cold weather testing over the winter and give a good report. The Fairbanks Mach E did fine down to -40. I expect the Lightning to do the same. One early observation: The Lightnings bigger inline heater than the Mach E (8-10kw vs. 5-6kw) makes a big difference in terms of rapidly warming up a cold soaked vehicle at below zero temps.
I have a Standard Range F-150 Lightning. I’ve had it almost 2 months now. It’s been great! If you are from the Pacific Northwest, introduce yourself and share details of your F-150 Lightning here.

The ability to activate Intelligent back up power finally popped up in my FordPass! I was successfully able to pay $500 to Ford for the upgrade and Intelligent Back Up power now shows on my Lightning in-truck screen! This coming Saturday, the electrician is coming out to finish hooking up the Hone Integration System. A few weeks ago, they hooked up the Ford Pro Charger and it charges fine, but the charger’s Wi-Fi isn’t working/visible. Will try doing a factory reset on the charger next Saturday, once the HIS is ready to go.I have a Standard Range F-150 Lightning. I’ve had it almost 2 months now. It’s been great!
I have ordered and received the Ford Pro charger (it doesn’t come with the SR) and the Home Integration System from Ford/Sunrun. I was connected with Beaver Electric through QMerit to install both items. This will be Beaver’s first installation of the Home Integration ystem, but they say they have installed a number of Ford Pro Chargers.
Ford’s web site says, “Intelligent Backup Power software activation is included with the purchase of the extended-range F-150 Lightning battery or can be bought as a one-time purchase for the standard-range battery here.”
The word “here“ is a hyperlink to a page, after signing in, that says “SOMETHING’S NOT QUITE RIGHT”.
I need to get the Intelligent Backup Power software activation, but can’t find where I can pay the activation fee. I understand it is $500 and the upgrade is done over the air.
I have spent days trying to get the Intelligent Backup Power software activated on my SR Lightning. No one at Damerow, Landscape, or the 8+ Ford Customer service phone depts could help me.
Hope you can connect me to who can do this. Thanks!
Awesome, looks great. I'll be interested to hear how your start up goes. The ability to activate Intelligent back up power finally popped up in my FordPass! I'm extremely happy with mine. The Lightning is an awesome vehicle. The Volt uses engine for cabin heat below 15 deg. which gets awesome cabin heat. Does Lightning heat the cabin at -40? That really is my only concern, not worried about electric drive or electronics in the cold.
It sounds like your pretty happy with yours.
