I have an order number of 10816500

I did it at like 6:59PM PST on May 19th. The presentation was still going.

Wouldn't that be Way in the early #'s??? Ford Customer service said I was a very early #.

Like first few thousand maybe? Def first 5000-7500 or so I would think.

TODAY: My dealer told me I was 42nd in line at the dealer today... 42nd.

So that means 41 people in my small town placed reservations between opening books and 6:59PM?

Something doesn't add up.

Was I late to the party??? I looked at the reservation # posted on here and I am like the 10th lowest # I have ever seen.

Any input from the community would be great.

I had to ask them for my place in line 3 times over 5 days and they finally told me. Doesnt add up.
I am 10817XXX and was told I am number 12 out of "over 500" at my dealer. As you are aware, dealers are able to prioritize their top 10 customers regardless of #, so I feel like I am really number two after the favoritism baloney gets dealt with.

Ignore the order number. It is the time and date stamp that matters to Ford in determining where you fall. That is then influenced by dealer prioritization.

Everyone keeps saying to ignore the reservation # but it sure seems like they are sequential from the same format... I get the time stamp is important but I think Ford did use a sequential numbering system (based on my VERY non-scientific observation of people stating their order time and date). I'm 10816XXX with a reservation time stamp of 9:04 CST and also did not get a first wave invite :( Was told I was #5 at my dealer (of over 175)

They are not sequential. My reservation number is 10821XXX with a time stamp of 8:49 CST. The reservation system runs multiple number sequences in parallel based on server demand.

The Mustang Mach E was the first vehicle to use the online system. At that point it was the only vehicle using it. We were able to determine that Ford had at least 4, maybe 5 different systems assigning numbers simultaneously. Each of those was assigning from a separate set of 1000 numbers. Thus, 4998 was a much later order than 6002.

Now, the system is being used simultaneously for the Mustang Mach E, Maverick, F-150, and Bronco/Bronco Sport at least. They may be using it for every vehicle. The numbers are nowhere close to sequential on a given day. Month to month numbers will show an increase through time.

Thanks to you both. I stand corrected.

I was part of 1st wave order. My reservation no. was 10818XXX, email timestamp 5/19 9:54pm EST. Received text from ford on 1/6 at 5:23pm to place order. Ordered that night, and went into dealership next day to sign paperwork. Was only one at my dealership to get to order in1st wave. Dealer said i'm prioritized in their top 10, but wouldn't tell me which spot i'm in...wouldn't even say if i was first reservation for their dealership. I think the system is totally random because i'm seeing people from all different times and reservation numbers getting 1st wave.

I am really not pleased with the way Ford is handling the rollout of these reservations. I can wait but I may cancel my order if there is favoritism being played out here and there sure looks like there is. If they are going to allow dealers to put their favorite customers up top, they should have disclosed that in the sign-up process. Not giving me a good feeling about what would be my first new Ford purchase.

Not sure any of the reservation #s mean much. I ordered in the first few hours, my res# 10833980 and #2 at my dealer (in NY state that tends to get a lot of EVs). My dealer is very good on communication and did prioritization in Dec but said it is still at the mercy of getting my 'Place your order' email before they can do anything in the order bank system.

I hope to be in wave #2 based on dealer allocations in this area...

My reservation number is 10927521 and I reserved on May 25th. I am number 19 at my dealer but he says I may not get to order even a 2023 at the rate he thinks the waves will play out. I told him that I am optimistic and holding onto hope for a 2022 Lightning order.
