Welcome to the forum @Lakeguy! If you're dealer is on top things you might. But you're likely going to hear from Ford instead for your order. Which Lightning are you looking to get?

Sample size of 1 here, but my first notification was an e-mail six days prior with subject line "What’s next for your F-150 Lightning reservation." Day of order text message came through a few hours before e-mail. I then logged into my Ford account and hit refresh until my thumb got sore and finally it let me put order in.
If you are going for XLT don't delay once you get notification, as your wave may run out of XLT.

XLTs and Pro trims are out for 2023.
You'll have to order Lariat or Platinum. This is what I read here on this message board.

Guess I don’t blame Ford for wanting to sell the most expensive trucks first…
Also guessing they will Jack up the price every year..
Guess I will have to figure out how bad I want one..
I am looking forward to see what current owners in Ohio and Mich think after going through a winter since this is the first winter they have been on the street p

Got an email from ford, that I’ll be ordering soon. Then about a week later another email to order. Logged onto ford.com and clicked on my reservation and a link was available to order. Dealer never contacted me on the order since I acted within the first few hours. They did when I decided to push my reservation from 2022. If you prefer to order at dealer, just pop in when you get the order email.
If xlt is available for some reason, I wouldn’t take my time and book that model asap. You never know…Pro for 2023 initially had a delivery time of fall 2023, but it seems they are coming out now.
