I know we've got a thread already about Maverick reviews, but I figured we could use a 1-stop-shop for all things Maverick. But for the Lightning, I feel like the Maverick would easily be the most interesting new Ford truck in a generation, and I get the sense there are a few people looking at uncertain wait times for the Lightning that might be curious as to what the Maverick might be like as a stop-gap.

I'll keep updating this thread with info and news, but if you want to go deep, feel free to jump over to the sister forum, Maverick Chat.

This thread has a great video about the way the bed was designed. It's clear Ford put as much work in here as they did in the Lightning's frunk (I love that frunk!).

Fuel economy has been one of the big headlines for the Maverick. The Hybrid is obviously the standout with 42-mpg city, and 37-mpg combined, but the 2.0t does pretty well for itself with 26.6-mpg combined.

Alex on Autos you tube channel recently posted the Hybrid fuel economy he achieved on a recent test drive. Looking at the data it looks like he had the cruise set to 55 in eco mode. The elapsed time matches up. Not bad at all!

And I'm kinda burying the lead here, but just like there has been delays and uncertainty for Lightning reservations, the early Maverick customers (especially the Hybrid fans) have been using the forum to track production progress. This thread on Hybrid availability is a roller coaster.

I looked on the website today and the Hybrid no longer says "limited availability". I reached out to my dealer and he said you can order them again, but they wont be built until January/February. Can anyone else confirm this?

One really cool bit of recent news was Jim Farley saying to CNET that he expects the Maverick to become a "new franchise", meaning the company must be working on plans to build out a family of Maverick vehicles, much as they're doing with Bronco and Mustang.

This photo of a Maverick next to a Rivian R1T and a Hummer EV is kinda fun to look at, but I'm not really sure why someone brought them all together. Anybody know where this photo came from? It looks like it was part of a photoshoot.

TFL discovered that the Ford Maverick is the best in class for towing heavy loads (as expected). The Santa Cruz was actually better for a more balanced towing experience, which for many might be better for longer trips. Check out the full test here.

Wondering how much tighter the bed of the Maverick is compared to a half-ton like the Lightning?

CAN A LARGE ATV FIT IN THE BED?!

Hi Everyone, The Ford maverick is still the best choice for me no matter how you swing it. I really hope an ATV can fit inside of the bed. Sometimes I think yes, sometimes no. If anyone loads up their quad can you take a pic?
