AMP Power Steps

I traded in my 2018 Raptor with Amp Power steps and really really regret it now. They are SO nice - and better

What are the weight of the stock ones vs the weight of the power boards? I have been looking everywhere for the weight of the stock boards and haven't been able to find it.

I haven’t found the weight of the factory ones either. They aren’t very heavy though. The AMP’s might be a little heavier just by feel.

Nice, thank you. I'm trying to decide if I like the look. I like the fixed running boards that come with it. At this point it could just be me use to the current look. I do think the step coming out more like on the AMP would be more helpful though.

This looks fantastic. I have power boards on my ram that I will be trading in and was hoping that ford would have the option also but they didn't when I placed my order. On the ram, I can control the running boards through the truck's touchscreen, were you able to get that connected to the ford so you can deploy and retract the boards when you wish?

I didn’t include the brackets in the weight of the stock running boards. I sold mine today and shipped them. The total weight was 61.3 lbs making them 3 lbs heavier than the AMP Power Steps.

Love the look. Just to clarify those are the regular AMP Running Boards, not the XL's correct? And everything is working correctly? I just hung up with AutoAnything who had the originals sent over and then called me back to say he double-checked and only the XL's would fit on Lightnings. I then called AMP who said "we have no fitment for the Lightning's currently."

They are the regular ones. I did have to cut a small notch in a piece of metal on the driver’s side. It’s not a functional piece so it’s not an issue. It was just to allow space for the motor

How did you wire yours?
If I get a set, I was thinking of wiring them to the lights so the proximity sensor drops them when the lights turn on when I walk towards the truck.

I connected them to the door triggers per the directions. Your idea sounds cool if you can find the correct wires.

No I sold them
