Per Friday's FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin), the initial timetable information has been released for the 2022 F-150 BEV Lightning
  • 01/05/2022 - 2022MY Order Bank Open Date
  • TBD - 2022MY Scheduling Begins
  • TBD - 2022MY Job #1 Production Date

"SCHEDULING" vs "PRODUCTION" Week explained :

Scheduling is the act of scheduling a future production week.

Production is the act of executing the schedule (building your Bronco that week).

Interesting. If Ford manages to deliver the first Lightning in early Q3, then it seems like the first wave (probably 2,000 units) could be delivered in Q3. But it’s looking increasingly likely that if you aren’t in the first wave you aren’t getting a truck until Q4. And if you are more than 2-3 waves in, you probably aren’t getting the truck until next year.
I’m going to sit tight until the second wave and see what new info comes out, but will probably sit on the sidelines until 2023/24.

Welcome to the forum. Do you know what allocations are like at your dealer?

I don’t. I’m at Villa Ford in SoCal. But it’s a pretty good sized dealer in SoCal so I’m guessing they got the max prioritization slots (25). The other local dealers have a couple hundred orders so it’s probably similar at Villa. I’m gonna check in with them after the second wave then make a decision.

I just found out from my dealer I'm #83/483 on their internal list. :( I'm so inpatient...
Those numbers could go down if/when people cancel their reservations. I'd be surprised if every person ahead of you converted their reservations to an order.

My dealer has 12 in the first wave and said they all converted. I don’t think she was trying to pressure me as I made it very clear that I was going to be buying the lariat plus no matter what. I dont think you’ll see too many cancellations for the first several waves. We are the people who hunted this reservation on day 1/2, makes no sense to have waited this long and bail on it now that we were give. The chance to order

Maybe. But how many people thought the base price would be $40k but to get the one you wanted would be $80k? A lot of people get the reservation because it’s only $100 and refundable knowing they can back out once they have the details. I think most wave 1 reservations convert because a lot of them paid extra to get prioritized. By wave 3-4, the novelty will have worn off a bit and I’m guessing we’ll see lower conversion rates. Still high, but not 95-100%.
