Any ideas on when orders will be given a production date and VIN? This week?

The VIN is assigned as soon as the production is scheduled. You can get it from your dealer or use the tool here:

Lots of folks who received their invitation sat on them until the end of March. Note that Ford has their order info they can schedule the builds in a way that best balances the assembly “line”.
