So I just received an email from Ford asking me to respond to a survey and update my reservation in order to determine when they will reach out to invite me to order. Anyone seen this yet...I'm hesitant to do anything here in case it would negatively impact my reservation slot and/or timing of an order (I'm a 5/29/21 Reservation Holder).

When you completed the survey is it specific to you and/or did it officially change your reservation at all? Or was it simply to let you know when you could expect to receive the truck you specified?

I got the same. Pretty sure this is a "survey monkey" anonymous type survey. Really doubt it will impact you directly but ford is using it to predict who is ordering what to prepare for upcoming orders thus improving delivery time.

Edited*** uh, yea I was wrong.

I received the survey and completed it. A significant part of the survey asked you to pick your configuration and options from what's available on the 2023 model. You were asked if this was a new addition to your fleet or if you would be replacing a vehicle (and what that was). Perhaps this could affect when reservations convert to orders (e.g. not giving people who aren't interested in the available configurations the chance to order)?
There were also some more general questions about reservations (e.g. how much you'd be willing to put down for a reservation) and your experience that I suspect are more for Ford trying to figure out how to better manage the reservation process in the future.
5/20/21 reservation that's #48 in my dealers queue, for what it's worth.

Thanks! I'm 5/21 and also #48 at my dealer, but haven't received any additional communication so figure that means I'm not in wave 3...

Yeah, seeing that some people received a different "sending invitations to order soon" email from Ford has me feeling like I'm also not in the next wave. Process is frustrating. Looking back at it, my dealer sold 20 prioritization slots for a $500 donation to charity (these were gone within 5 minutes of the offer). In light of the price increase this would have been a heck of a deal to get in on.

Nice that the dealer was offering these slots for charity vs their own bottom line, hearing some of the dealer stories on here is scary...sounds like you have one of the good ones!

Hindsight is 20/20, but I would take a $500 charity donation to miss the MY23 price increase and feature removals (i.e., onboard scales etc.)

Trying to keep the faith and be patient but not planning on driving a new truck for a while...

I posted this in another thread but I have a feeling those that are getting this email survey (which I did) will not be getting the "sending invitations to order soon" email. I'm a 5/20/21 reservation holder and am pretty sure I'll be going into the 2023 calendar year without any additional information from Ford on order date. Very poor experience for me.

If there is no relationship between the survey and the "order soon" email, I'm convinced Ford is trolling me then.
I've given up trying to figure out their system and where I am in line and/or when I will get a chance to order...just trying to ride it out and will be excited when it is my turn!

If folks are pushed to 2024, how many will decide to get the new version scheduled for 2025 instead? I suspect pricing and trim info will be available by then. Or, is Ford simply kicking the can down the road such that the new 2025 has a built-in buyer base.

Also a 5/21/21 reservation and received and completed the survey today. My dealer knows nothing and won’t even tell me where I am in line with them. I talked to Ford CS a few days ago and they thought I’d be in the third wave, but I think they‘re only telling me what I want to hear at the moment. This has also been a very poor experience from my perspective, especially when I hear of others reserving months after I did but already driving their Lightning.
