Hello all,

Took delivery of my ordered 2022 Rapid Red Lariat ER truck on Monday. So far, I love driving this truck. I'm coming into it from a 2017 Raptor, so quite the change in many ways, but I had a 2015 F-150 Platinum prior to that. Great fun and great truck so far. I have almost 200 miles on it so far. Will be making some road trips of 500+ miles up the major North-South hiways of California in the not too distant future, so will report back on how that goes. Glad to be a member here and look forward to learning from you all...

Hello Fellow Lightning owners. New member here but not tech savvy at all. How do I go to New Member Introductions to "Introduce Myself?" Thanks, Walt

Beautiful Lighting @LightningPilot! Congrats and welcome! What led you to switching from the Raptor to a Lightning?
Sorry for the delay...busy few weeks! I LOVED my Raptor. I took it out in its natural habitat regularly and pounded the deserts and mountains of Southern California and Nevada. I put deposits down on a Rivian R1T and the Lightning because I am a tech geek and really love the ways EV's drive. For me, the Lightning is a grand experiment to see if I can get by easily without filling up at gas stations. If this works, that's great and I'll keep the Lightning. If it turns out to be a real hassle, I will go back to ICE while the technology and infrastructure matures. I drive within a 300-mile range probably 90-95% of the time, so this should work great. I have a long road trip coming up, so that will be a real test. I'll miss the Raptor for sure, and may get another one when they come out with Gen 4 and hang it up again--who knows?
