Greetings,

I caught the Lightning bug a while after you all. I have decided that I will likely try to order a pro version. I'm in the process of researching when I would be able to make my reservation. I know that 2022 is closed, so I'm hoping to get in on the 2023 ordering. I am in East Tennnessee near the Virginia line. I welcome any suggestions you all have for getting a reservation in that might yield an order. Thanks

Welcome to the forum @tlaughlin479. Will the Lightning be your first EV? Considered any other EVs before deciding to go with it?

From what I understood, 200k reservations then they cut them off. That should go through the MY23. That is if they get to 150k, made in a year, by the end of next year. I'd think they'd open actual reservations back up mid to late 2023 for MY24. To be completely unbiased, you'd probably be able to get the RAM EV (if it is going to be good) before MY24 of the Lightning or at least the same time.

This is all hoping the supply chain constraints keep relieving the irritation they have now. To get a MY23 you'd probably have to some how get one from another reservation that gives up theirs when the order banks open back up.

Thanks for the info. The Lightning is the only EV i've considered. I may throw my hat in for MY23 and see what chances I have of fulfillment.

i don’t think it’s your decision to make. The reservation system is closed until further notice (aka the 200,000 before you are taken care of). Im a day one reservations holder and hoping to get to place my order. should be 2023.
