Hey guys!

I got pretty lucky and I can now see and track my truck using the Ford app. I have a Platinum Lightning with a blend date of 5/5/22. I reserved on the night it was announced.

About 2 weeks ago I set up the Ford app and requested to connect to the car. I couldn't see anything about the truck until someone tapped connect on the screen in the truck. I figured it was a lost cause....

But at 4:40pm on Saturday May 22nd someone pressed the button! My truck is now connected to my app.

Unfortunately all of my subscription timers have begun but that doesnt bother me much. Im just happy to have some info because Ford hasnt been very clear about timing or the process.

UPDATE:

It has been driven 8 more miles. Now it has 50 miles on it. Its location has changed on my app.
Thanks to Noel Jordan on the Ford F-150 Lightning Group (2022+) FB group he says,
"8 miles is the distance between the Rouge and to holding lot, is it now back at the plant? Loading soon?"
Seems logical.

I hope your truck is loading soon, no other reason to be moving from holding lot unless it's in need of additional features for your order, did you buy the spray in bed liner?

I had a spray in initially but canceled that months ago because I found out how much better aftermarket spray in is.

It is starting to bother me how much they are driving these trucks back and forth to lots etc. My truck isn't even built (coming this Tuesday), but I don't like they are on the road and have as many people in them.

Has the status in your Ford account changed to show the truck as "built"? My shows the week of production date, then there's a date with no description of 5/12, which I assume was the build date, but nothing has happened since. Still shows status as "in production". I too was a minute one order holder the second it was released to reserve. Had been kinds of planning on about 4 weeks from the build date, but seems more likely that's not going to happen.

That happens to all cars you buy from new.

Some of the European car manufacturers even have a setup where the dealer can reset the odometer at delivery, if it reads less than 50km.

The last 3 cars I bought new all had fewer than 10 miles on them, not the 50 the poster above mentions is already on theirs.

5/23/22 update
I just received a message that my lights were left on. Maybe when I unlocked the car yesterday for some reason they stayed on. But I also noticed that the truck is moved inside of the building.

They're probably investigating an unexplained locking/unlocking bug in your truck. Maybe they've placed a hold on all Lightning shipments until they can diagnose the bug

But seriously, it looks like that location is an R&D facility. I wonder whats up?

Well looks like Ford caught wind of it because they just shut down the connection to my truck.

Trucks are on hold pending final adjustment and sign-off. It sounds like that has started.

Yeah, they declined my request from the truck. They must have figured out we could get a lot of info on the vehicle from that.

I expect they'll do the same to mine once they pick it up from the test track, but for now I can still see it sitting there.

Final version update and master reset, and warnings to all ground crew DO NOT ACCEPT any prompts seen on the infotainment screen!!!!!
