At least your dealer provided some information. My inquires have been responded with "we have no idea". Every time I interact with the dealership, it confirms the need for a new model.Asked my dealer and they said they’re opening up MY23 orders mid July into august
I actually had the same issue so I switched dealers. But ford corporate told me the same thing when I called to switch dealers. At least your dealer provided some information. I feel like I discovered cold fusion by accident or something. I found small dealer with outstanding service and absolutely zero annoying sales tactics or attitude. I moved my MY22 reservation from another (larger) dealer that set off some big red flags before converting the order. Ford made it super easy to move the reservation and the new dealer was almost too good to be true.At least your dealer provided some information. They're only 100 miles west of me - I might need to think about working through them if I ever get an invite. Did they ever tell you how many MY22's were allotted to them? Maybe it's a moot point since you moved your reservation from a presumably larger dealership.I feel like I discovered cold fusion by accident or something. I got my MY22 at MSRP June 6 with no unwanted add-ons or hard-sell. After delivery I found a defect in the sunroof (glass not properly bonded to frame causing a very annoying rattle). The fixed it (new parts) in half the estimated time and I got the truck back fully detailed a day later with a full battery
Family Ford Carlisle PA. There are good ones out there.
I agree completely. The response I get is "Ford Corporate is handling all Lightning orders, we just act as a conduit." It is bizarre. I think this is just the first phase of Ford switching to a D2C model like Tesla. Just need the legislative bodies to understand that D2C benefits the customer just as much as the corporation. At least your dealer provided some information. Once MY22 production was scheduled, this process is straight out of the Order Bank Opening Playbook dated 12/7/2021. The dealer is limited to being able to look up customers who have received invitations within each wave. The response I get is "Ford Corporate is handling all Lightning orders, we just act as a conduit." - Dealers will receive the list of reservation holders in each wave directly prior to invitations being sent. A dealer can lookup any customer via the F-150 Lightning Reservation to Order Program site to confirm their customer has received an invitation within a specific wave.
- Once 22MY production capacity is met, all remaining reservation holders will be notified that their next ordering opportunity will be for a subsequent model year. Again, they will be given the option to hold their reservation or cancel for a full refund at anytime.
