So close yet so far away. Yes I actually went to the RR yard to see if I could find my Lightning....my OCD is kicking in 🤣

Yep Oxford white / ER / 511A .....TwinsOxford white / same wheels as my '23 it looks like.
Ceramic for sure and I hope Michelin, but could not get close enough to tell, I think they would not have appreciated my drone getting any closer than I did. I have been hounding my dealership weekly for a discount.Tri-coat Oxford/ER & ceramic - Michelin tires like mine? Ask the dealer for a discount given battery challenges!?
Wow, that is torture. Need to get the Lightning out of jail!So close yet so far away. Yes I actually went to the RR yard to see if I could find my Lightning....my OCD is kicking in 🤣
Glass half full type of guy?😎Feel the frustration....I guess if there is any silver lining it's that in the event something is wrong with the battery issue, you won't carry the burden of taking it to the dealer, who will likely not be ready to address/support...
Yes. Usually with whiskey 🤪Glass half full type of guy?😎
So I am guessing when it stopped charging you tried to restart charging again? Has it ever quit charging when you are at home and charging? I have no doubt Ford will work out the bugs and as first adopters we need to expect a few bumps in the road so to speak. Have fun....zooom zoom.Mine was manufactured first week of January, I took delivery Feb 3rd. Imagine hearing nothing in the field is affected... I have noticed twice in charging the DC fast charger stopped before the charge was full. I don't know if this is an indication of a problem with the charger or the battery. I have advised Ford, but as expected they are tight lipped.
I'm probably more flexible than most people. I want Ford to succeed and am willing to work with them, and I still have my Jeep for back up.
Up to now the truck has exceeded my expectations. It's a fast ride, very stable, even at 100 mph (yeah, I love power). I think everyone will be surprised with the performance.
Charging is by default 90%. You can do single charges up to 100%. Ford recommends 90, but then you lose 10% of range. I will add the last 10% of charging does take a lot more time. I quit at 95% due to time.Isn’t DC fast charging set to stop at 90% by default? I believe you can change it though.
Quick update. The new car manager from my dealership got back to me today and said Ford is actually sending out people to check batteries on site. She also said my lightning has a green notification, however she had no idea what that meant. I am still excitedView attachment 6473
My Lariat ER is sitting in a RR yard not 20 miles away from where I live, its been there for over a week, but Ford will not let my Lightning be released to my Dealership because of the Battery issue, production stoppage. I Thought I had read Ford was not stopping the sale of Lightnings just production, guess I was wrong. I had been so excited to finally get my Lightning and now I have to wait another 3 weeks. I am at the tipping point of just calling the dealership and canceling my order. Just venting....
That Ford is sending people out to check batteries on site, is welcome news to those of us caught in the middle between built and deliver.Quick update. Originally I was thinking Ford would be able to do battery diagnosing/testing remotely but that is not the case, at least that is what my dealership is saying. I just took a quick trip to the railroad yard and my Lightning is still there......3 plus weeks and waiting. That Ford is sending people out to check batteries on site, is welcome news to those of us caught in the middle between built and deliver.
I am in MN and it sound like you are in the same predicament as I......ugh. maybe look at it this way better it catch fire on their lot then in your garage. Not to be cynical but with most new technology if it's going to screw up it will be right away
Be grateful, I have one and its loaded with electronic issues.View attachment 6473

My Lariat ER has been sitting in a RR yard since 2/6 and the estimated delivery was 3/8-3/18, until this morning now the estimated delivery is 4/7 - 4/20. This is getting really frustrating. I am guessing Ford had to check possibly as many as 3000 Lightnings that were under the battery issue. I know they are sending Ford techs on site to actually do their battery testing but seriously 2 months to do testing. Ford, send me the test equipment I will go testing batteriesView attachment 6473
